Cycling trip to Moors Valley Country Park
We set off on the 08.30 ferry. All the bikes and scooters were neatly packed on the roof rack and all the seats in mini bus and an additional vehicle were full. By the time we reached Moors Valley the sun had come out and it was beginning to warm up.
Greg, Hannah M and Ronnie set off for the day and managed to cover almost all the tracks in the forest (about 23 miles).
Freya, Addison, Imogen and Elodie went with Steve on some of the shorter courses, and clocked up around 10 miles during the day.
It was Thomas and Phoebe’s birthday and they brought their brand new bikes with them. The little ones spent the day cycling or scooting around the large lake and through the forest. They had so much fun, and they were exhausted by the time we got back into the mini bus to go home!
On the ferry we had a little birthday party for the twins, with cake, crisps, lemonade and then party bags for all the children. Thank you to Kirsty, their mum, for providing the party food; it was a lovely way
